Cast iron teaware is wonderfully durable, but it does appreciate a little extra care.
After each use, empty the teapot and rinse it with warm water. Do not use soap or abrasive cleaners. Dry the inside and outside thoroughly and allow the teapot to air dry completely with the lid off before storing.
Do not place this teapot in the dishwasher or microwave. Do not place it directly on a stovetop or other heat source.
